Job Description:
- The successful candidate must have an understanding of the functioning of a medical clinic/facility. They will be required to be front of house, and so must be punctual, presentable, well-spoken and confident in appearance and actions. They will be responsible for ensuring that patients appointments run on time by communicating effectively with medical providers and auxiliary staff.
- They will be required to communicate with patients and outside providers in regard to scheduling appointments, emailing patient updates and answering questions effectively. This requires that they must have an understanding of medical terminology.
- Previous experience with health insurance benefits is necessary as they will be required to call for patient benefits and be able to explain the benefits to the patients.
- They must be computer literate, comfortable with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel and able to learn to operate our medical software.
- They will be required to assist with opening and closing the clinic and assist with preparing rooms for visiting doctors.
- They must be able to do simple calculations and capable of working a credit card machine as they will be responsible for accepting patients payments and balancing the days earnings at closing time.
- Further administrative duties are assist in preparing, submitting, and tracking licensing applications and renewals. Experience with HPC and the applications being a plus/bonus.

The following qualifications are mandatory:
-Minimum of BSc in Nursing from an accredited Nursing program or university from approved jurisdictions.
-Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience.
-Able to be registered in Cayman Islands as a Registered Nurse.
-Minimum of BLS certification.
-Clean police record.
-All necessary licenses need to be current.
Further requirements:
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with a range of patients as well as medical personnel.
-Understanding and experience with medical insurance coverages, billing and coding and the ability to relay this to patients.
-Must possess excellent observation skills and attention to detail.
-Must have the ability to work calmly and competently in high stress situations while thinking critically.
-Able to work alone, able to take specific instruction as well as working in a multi-disciplinary team setting.
-Triaging patients who complain of specific ailments.
-Competent and experienced with treating patients of all ages.
-Highly proficient in phlebotomy and IV/infusions.
