Jaika is a compassionate and experienced Physiotherapist dedicated to helping patients reduce pain, restore movement, improve function, and return to the activities that are important to them.
She is a Cayman Islands Registered Physiotherapist with the Council for Professions Allied with Medicine (CPAM) and is also registered as a Physiotherapist in Jamaica and the Philippines.
Jaika has worked in both hospital and private clinical settings since 2019. Before joining Cayman Medical, she worked as a Senior Physiotherapist in the Cayman Islands , where she assessed and treated patients with a wide variety of musculoskeletal injuries, painful conditions, physical limitations, and rehabilitation needs. She previously worked at the Asian Hospital and Medical Center in the Philippines , providing physiotherapy and rehabilitation as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Jaika believes that successful rehabilitation starts with understanding each patient as an individual. Following a detailed assessment, she develops a personalized treatment plan designed to address the underlying problem, improve mobility and strength, reduce pain, and help patients achieve meaningful and sustainable improvements in their everyday lives.
Jaika has completed additional professional training including a Clinical Dry Needling Diploma , IASTM Practitioner Certification , and training in motor, sensory and cognitive strategies for stroke rehabilitation . She is also trained in CPR, First Aid and Basic Life Support.
Patient education is an important part of Jaika's approach. She works closely with patients to help them understand their condition, the purpose of their treatment, and what they can do between appointments to support their recovery and reduce the risk of future problems.
As part of Cayman Medical's multidisciplinary team, Jaika can work collaboratively with our physicians and other healthcare professionals when a patient's rehabilitation would benefit from coordinated care.
Whether you are recovering from an injury or surgery, managing persistent pain, experiencing reduced mobility, or simply want to regain confidence in your movement, Jaika would be pleased to help you work toward better function and a more active life.
